Gillian Mosely

Gillian Mosely is a journalist and television producer with a strong interest and track record in, Science, Archaeology, History and Current Affairs. She has worked with a number of UK and international broadcasters including, C4, Five, ITV, Discovery Channels, National Geographic, The History Channel and the Smithsonian Network. She sold/produced the first Discovery/National Geographic co-production as well as the first official UK/Singapore co-production.

Throughout her career Gillian has conceived and developed every programme which she has produced and specialises in devising factual programming which is innovative, accessible, contemporary and engaging to a wide audience.

Starting medialab in 2007 Gillian has devised, sold and produced a number of hours for UK and international broadcast in addition to packaging associated multi-platform content. As Development Producer at Cicada Films from 1999-2001 then Head of Science at Fulcrum TV from 2001 to 2004 Gillian conceived, developed and produced a number of singles and specials including the Lost City of Pompeii, The Volcano that Blew the World Away, The Black Mummy Mystery, and the Egypt Detectives.

Previously a successful freelance journalist and entrepreneur, Gillian devised ideas and features for a number of British publications including the Sunday Times Newspaper and magazine, the Independent, Time Out, iD, Marie Claire and New Woman. As an entrepreneur she co-founded Aurora, still a popular restaurant haunt in London's Soho and the Egg a venue in Kings Cross. Gillian also has a number of personal interests. She is the driving force behind MEND UK (Middle East Nonviolence and Democracy) a charity that focuses on delivering conflict resolution tools to the Palestinian people. In the UK it has had success as an advocacy organisation attracting the attention of academics, politicos and the wider public. Gillian is also on the committee of the Friends of the Petrie Museum of Egyptology and is an active member of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers.
